I have created several different shirts and apparel for different companies and organizations, such as Benedictine College and The Arena. These items vary in style and purpose.
The Arena is an app that focuses on self-improvement through competition. Players set goals for their group and earn points by achieving these goals each day. The Arena Company wanted a shirt that carried the theme of hard work. They also wanted the shirt to incorporate the motto “Dust, Sweat, Blood”. I first designed the image on the front of the shirt. This shield is inspired by the work of William Morris. William Morris showed that medieval designs can be modernized while maintaining the same beauty they originally had. He designed books like medieval manuscripts. I used many of his design concepts to create the shield on the front. The back contrasts the black letter of the font with a san-serif font. It also repeats the thorns on the front of the shirt and bounds them in a ring. This ring of thorns fits in with the brand's theme of empowerment through hardship.
During my time at Benedictine College, I’ve been asked to design several shirts, posters, logos, and social media posts. One of which is a Mister Rogers-themed shirt for Benedictine Resident Life. I designed these specifically for students who lived in houses owned by the school. These houses have their community among them and are usually themed. This year's theme was Mister Roger's Neighborhood. I incorporated retro-inspired colors and illustrated the trolley from the show.
